Alaska Native people are the past, present, and future of the place we call home. Thank you for their stewardship of the land and water since time immemorial. This sculptural mask was created by King Islander Sylvester Ayek, and hangs in the Alaska Native Primary Care Center.

AK's D.C. delegation announced today the Port of Alaska modernization project will receive $50 million dollars in federal funding! The Port serves 90% of Alaska's population as an access point for goods & people — hard to overstate its significance, great to see the support.

Be aware, the winds may be diminishing but the snowfall transitioning to rain can cause slick conditions on snow covered surfaces. Use caution and care when walking and driving.

Emergency Operations Center is back to Level 1 Normal Operations. This does not mean a reduction in services. The team remains focused, vigilant, and ready to respond no matter the activation level.
