This is an opportunity for students to meet the candidates in the Midlands, North West Region, to hear their manifestos, ask them questions, and to make an informed decision when voting on June 7th.

My journey in representation started when I was 17 representing Ireland in the European Parliament, both Brussels and Strasbourg. I have always had an interest in EU politics and I’m excited to be collaborating with Maynooth University to host hustings for the upcoming EU elections.

Most of the candidates will be participating, so this is your opportunity to listen to them and ask them questions.

A hugely competitive constituency (at least 13 candidates )

limited counsellors on campuses, the fear of losing grants by working too many hours, atrocious commuting distances, the cost of rent, and the lack of suitable and affordable student accommodation. (2/3)

This event presented an opportunity for Patrick O’Donovan to engage with students, provide reassurance, outline his goals in his new role, and ultimately hear the concerns of students. However, I see this as another shortcoming of the Department and the Irish Government. (3/3)
