Today London marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day. I was humbled to join His Majesty the King, members of the Royal Family and veterans to pay tribute to all those who served in the Second World War. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. #VEDay80

This Thursday, Londoners and visitors are invited to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Trafalgar Square. After sunset the square will be lit up, reflecting the same searchlights used in 1945.
