When we live through difficult times it can be easy to succumb to despair, to see nothing but darkness on the horizon. But one day, in happier times, songs will be sung of those who persevered. Strive to be sung about as one who brought hope, and carried light over that horizon.

Surely a dishonorable victory is better than a loss? No, it is worse, for if you win that way, you lose. You lose your honor, you lose the respect of your comrades, and you lose the standing to inspire others. How you achieve your goals is as important as whether you do so.
