Some highly selective schools are seeing significant declines in Black undergrad enrollment and others are not. I’m thinking that enrollment is not the best metric to study the impact of the AA decision. I will not say more (for now).

Prefacing this by saying I’m such a big fan that she’s been lock screen wallpaper for years… but has anyone written critically about Serena Williams as a neoliberal subject, and how she lends her name to questionable projects/brands? What’s with this new Lincoln Ambassadorship?

What happens if you decide to define your threshold for statistical significance as P<0.1 when you have a small sample size? Do editors just toss your shit out? Do reviewers tear it apart? I’ve done the opposite, with P<0.01 because my sample was very large. That ofc was welcome.

Have been talking to my friends in the corporate world and it seems like what passes for an emergency, requiring very rapid email replies etc is manufactured, often unnecessary & causing much burn out. You work in like, marketing, you not saving lives. Culture needs to shift.

Do people who sneer at the uptake of ozempic as “cheating” or as bad for any given reason know that we’ve long had fairly effective medications for weight loss outside of the GLP-1 class? Lol

Very proud of my MGB colleagues for turning the dial up here. Residents deserve to be met at the bargaining table with good faith counterproposals and ultimately, a just contract.

Incredible match. But Jessica Pegula’s dream run to the U.S. Open final falls short against Aryna Sabalenka, won a hard-fought title, 7-5, 7-5. It was the farthest the Buffalo native had even been at a major. Plenty to be proud of.

Have attended enough weddings & graduated from school/programs etc many times at this point to know that scheduled attention/adulation makes me uncomfortable. I love attention! When it’s spontaneous. Think this means when I get married there may be no speeches besides the vows 😂

After we figure out how to make high fidelity AI EKG reads available to everyone in medicine, do the same thing for EEGs. Then we won’t need to call the epilepsy fellow in on weekends. And Polysomnography so that PCPs can comfortably diagnose & start treating run of the mill OSA.
