Someone has written an article challenging my manuscript stating that the underrepresentation of African American or Hispanic plastic surgeons may be caused by a leaky pipeline. Instead, they argue that it is due to lack applications.

When I was 9 years old, I was assaulted for my bike and received a laceration on the right side of my face. A plastic surgeon repaired my laceration, calming my mother down. This left a big imprint on my life, I am proud to say that I have now become a plastic Surgery resident.
