During yesterday's BPDA task force meeting, NU Sr. Project Manager Carla Morelli said of Matthews Arena: "There are probably a lot of people who would like to buy some contents of the arena....there's a portion of that kind of work that will go on before we start demolition."

Northeastern’s Dennis Colleran blew away the MLB combine field with his top fastball velo. In 40.2 innings this season, Colleran posted a 7.97 ERA and allowed 9 HR. He missed all of 2023 with Tommy John. Despite the struggles, the raw stuff/velo make him very draft relevant.

Some new info on the Northeastern Arena project: 1. Of the arena's 4,000-seat capacity, roughly two-thirds will be in the lower bowl, and one-thirds in the upper bowl. 2. The design calls for a 200x85 ice sheet, which is the standard NHL size. (Matthews is currently 200x90)
