After watching (and rewatching) LIGHT AND MAGIC I have such a duplicitous reaction. I am equal parts inspired by what a scrappy group did, and depressed that I feel like I have missed the wave of magic in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Still looking for that in hand drawn animation

The most expensive thing in filmmaking is "not having your act together". It's amazing what you can do with very little if you know what you want and have very few obstructions in the path of your vision.
