Congratulations to our hometown club Colwyn Bay FC 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Without this club, there would have been no North Wales Dragons. Back in 2006, they started the most amazing, bewildering journey, which has changed our lives forever.

I won’t forget that day in a hurry! What an amazing day, enjoyed every minute of it. The fans were brilliant from start to finish and the celebrations after were 🤯 I thought the Llandudno management team and players were class too for sticking around and enjoying the fun 🍻

Thank you Matt Spruce With our annual tournaments now complete for both our men's and women's teams, which saw a combination of ten teams compete for the two sets of Dragons Annual Invitational Trophies, we can now announce another piece of news.

Football secretary to the North Wales Dragons, Matt Spruce, has left the club in his current position. Moving away to England and onto pastures new, he would not be able to continue his valued work that he had been doing for the team.

Matt joined the team on our first training session back after Covid Lock down 1, quickly getting into the spirit of things, the ex army veteran was keen to get involved further and took over the role of arranging match day fixtures.

He also helped gain sponsorships for both our men's and women's team. On the field, he was just as active, the often box-to-box man became a part of the central midfield but was not afraid to have a strike on goal, netting on numerous occasions.

The UEFA-licenced coach was also always keen to impart his wisdom on other players and helped a few of them with little tips here and there while also taking part and helping the managers out with team formations.

We would like to wish Matt all the best in what the future brings for him and if he is ever in the area again to lace up his boots for the Dragons #beadragon
