Labour Yimby are disappointed by the Government’s decision to concede to the Nimby lobby on the planning reforms this country so desperately needs. For the first time the Labour Government is backing the blockers, not the builders. 1/

Fully in support of this new report on how to tackle rough sleeping by The Centre for Social Justice Rolling out Housing First nationally would make such a difference and I hope something the DPM takes seriously as well as Rushanara Ali MP 💙

Lot of chatter today it seems about Zia Yusuf and his value (or potential lack of) to Reform. I think he’s always been a liability and a wooden speaker and they’d be better off without. As for a political pit bull, let the established parties attack you! It’s free air time!

Day after day after day, starving Palestinians trying to get food are slaughtered by Israeli troops. Then Israel announces some fake investigation that never leads to accountability or changes, and the dumbest people on this website blame anyone but the people in charge.

Spoke to Iain Dale at the weekend about class. He asked me if I still consider myself working class and I’m not sure if I do I’d be interested to hear what you think makes someone working class. Is it being part of a community? Your economic position, accent or something else?

Why would talking to a sex trafficker who worked with another sex trafficker who used to party with the President demand courage?

Matthew (@matthewtorbitt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The first 90 seconds of this are a fair enough campaign message, after that it’s condescending and weak. The super yacht thing never cuts through with normal people. It’s important for someone to be making the argument but I worry the immigration thing is probably baked in.

This is now officially a massive scandal with a coverup that includes the President, the Attorney General, the FBI Director, and the GOP Congress

Inevitable that if we don’t make asylum seekers “pay for themselves” by allowing them to work after waiting for 6 months they will desperately turn to either working illegally, gambling or something else to get by. If I only had £5 per day to live on I’d probably do the same.

A massive scandal with a coverup that includes the President, the Attorney General and the FBI Director and what are Fox leading with this morning? Zohran Mamdani’s promises failing in Kansas(?!) Biden’s decline and how Wikipedia is woke.
