Think of fanatical people. They’re overbearing, insensitive, and harsh. Why? It’s not because they are too Christian but because they are not Christian enough. They are fanatically zealous, but they are not fanatically humble, sensitive, empathetic, or forgiving—as Christ was.

I’ve never heard anyone say anything good about Wes in my almost 30 years of living in Nashville, so I’m taking his statement with several grains of that.

All signs point to all broadcast late night shows being gone by 2028, if not sooner (depending on the terms of Fallon’s contract). If The Late Show was operating at a $40 million per year loss (as reported by WSJ), I severely doubt that Fallon and Kimmel’s shows are profitable.

Today’s reading from Matthew 13: Jesus quotes Isaiah; “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;     you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused;     they hardly hear with their ears,     and they have closed their eyes.

Peacemaking is peace-sowing, not peace-keeping. “A harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace” - Jam 3:18. It is active, labor-intensive work... and the fruit it yields is life-giving, nourishing, and refreshing. This takes courage, dedication, & truth.
