Flight Club will forever be the pioneer in sneaker resell. But i really feel like skate shops charging customers OVER retail for Nike SB Dunks they were buying at retail is what really conditioned sneakerheads to being OK with the though of resale.

I feel like there's a huge divide in the sneaker world between ppl who were on NikeTalk and ppl who weren't on NikeTalk. And that's why a lot of arguments about what was/wasn't cool comes up.

it was the greatest single resource for ppl anywhere, online or IRL, if they were into sneakers at the time.

ISS and NikeTalk were cut of the same cloth. But were too completely different worlds. NT was wild, but a bit more reserved (you couldn't curse). But ISS was the wild west lol.

I always feel like the moment sneaker culture, as we know it these days, went pop culture mainstream turbo overdrive was when the Space Jam 11s got retroed in 2009. After that, it was off to the races.
