A jump in aphid nos. this week. English grain aphids and soybean aphids were on the move. Populations similar to last yearand very close to the 2013-2020​ average. Aphids increase in August so there may be increases through coming weeks.

Aphid no.s way up. Total of 550 PVY vectors this week. Single green peach aphid, soybean, English grain aphids numerous and widespread. Also a rise in PVY Vector Risk Index. Slightly higher than the 2013-2020 average. Check out the whole story at: aphidalert.blogspot.com
