It's only April, but I can't imagine I'll have a worse consumer experience this year than @TurboTax. Eight hours in their system, two hours on the phone with their "experts," and the return they created for me has quarterly vouchers for the wrong state.

Hey gang - who can recommend a good portable Bluetooth speaker? I'm more concerned with sound quality and reliability than decibels or a preponderance of bass.

One thing I underestimated about living in an actual house (as opposed to a condo in a mid-rise) is that people will actually ring your doorbell and try to sell you their pest-control services or convert you to their religion

This record opens with one of the best four-song sequences in music history. The rest of it is damn near perfect too. Listen at Bandcamp: wussy.bandcamp.com/album/wussy

I just received a notice from @TurboTax: "Due to an error, TurboTax might not have selected the best deduction option for you, resulting in a possible overpayment." I'll have to call to find out for sure, which will cost more of my time. Friends, TurboTax is crap. Don't use it.

Went to a High-A baseball game this weekend and of course discussed "obscure yet perfect walk-up music": _Sax riff from "Baker Street" _Opening bars of Jesus Lizard's "Mouth Breather" _Literally any sample from Sylvester's "Do You Wanna Funk?" What would you add?

I’m reminded of perhaps the greatest description of a bandmate by their own bandmate: “The singer’s a Shepherd’s Bush geezer who wants everything to be a big laugh, and when it’s not, he thinks everything’s gone terribly wrong.” - Pete Townshend

Guy on LinkedIn: In this carousel, I'll use my reductive four-step model to retroactively explain the success of a famous brand that I never worked on The rest of us:
