This is the exact opposite of why the SWB New Orleans power complex was put in. There's bad weather moving in this weekend, the complex ("SFC1"= new Static Frequency Converter 1) is offline during its "reliability test," rickety T4 has been turned on, and T5 remains down.
Is NOLA Ready around?
Anyone at NOLA Ready ?
No real reason to worry about drainage by SWB New Orleans pumps and power assets, especially when the last update - two days ago - said they were mainly relying on hugely unreliable T4, EMDs and frequency changers.
"Neutral ground parking allowed" message from NOLA Ready issued after severe thunderstorm was already on top of New Orleans, and just minutes prior to flash flood warning. This happens so, so often.
If this is a current photo SWB New Orleans , can you please explain why this water distribution pump at the Claiborne pumping station is decoupled completely from its new motor and how long it will be out of service?
Louisiana state legislative auditor Mike Waguespack is anticipating the The City Of New Orleans to come back to the state bond commission repeatedly, at first possibly in Aug or Sept of 2026, then in subsequent years for more revenue anticipating bonds. He suggests once a week furloughs.
