Tough loss but some of the best high school baseball you’ll ever see! Jameson McGuire pitched great and Nathan Diaz had 2 hits repping Polk County well. Texas is stacked but this Florida team is really good too and still has a chance!

I promise last proud baseball dad post for a while!! Loved watching this! First 5 of his 7 plate appearances were vs LSU, Texas, and Oklahoma State commits, such a fun challenge and definitely held his own.

I totally get having this game as a cool experience and to put eyeballs on baseball…what I don’t get is playing it in these conditions.. this is not gonna be the brand of Baseball that we want a large audience watching with this field condition.

I’m not defending the way we viewed Batting average when I played, but as you look over the last few years, winning teams find hits. We definitely overvalued batting average… just as true, it is undervalued now. Nothing better than a bloop then a blast!

I think this is a great start. I love the idea of a forced off season. Colleges have dead periods where recruiting is limited now mlb does too.

Yes this is a sweet swing, but amateur hitters the lesson is in the 1st swing! You are not going to take perfect BP rounds, at practices, at showcases, pregame…NEVER! And you shouldn’t be perfect in BP. Find something, work on approach, and RELAX! What a bad swing.then lazers

Obviously, someone with probabilities and sabermetrics determines that sac bunts can help win in playoffs. If you have to win games to make it there, why don’t more teams play this brand of baseball during the season? I’ve been watching casually today and seen 3 sac bunts already
