Very cool to have been able to contribute to planning this study we've just pre-registered. Quite ambitious, but given the small expected effects we've tried to be a thorough as possible in sample size determination and the statistical approach - osf.io/9sgjk

Hey everyone! I'm currently at risk of redundancy and so am on the lookout for opportunities to explore my options including outside academia. So, if anyone has any opportunities, thinks they'd hire me, or just ideas for me, please DM me. Thanks, and do share this.

In sports science, the use of G*power is very common to calculate sample sizes. In my experience (editor and reviewer), there are often not enough details to reproduce it, or the parameters used are unreasonable and/or not justified. I recommend the article and the thread below.

Ever wondered how Registered Reports differ from the regular literature? Some great work has been done on this (eg by Anne Scheel Daniël Lakens Courtney Soderberg) & I'd like to also highlight recent work of Aoife O'Mahony whose PhD thesis you can download here! orca.cardiff.ac.uk/id/eprint/1676…

Side projects always end up requiring as much work & time as main projects. I hope my future self remembers that. #SlowScience We are very proud of this one, it was a lot of fun & learning. Special thanks to the great reviewers PTJ: Journal of APTA!
