Man, what would management have to give up to get labor to agree to a draft. That's a crazy thought. The leverage and bargaining power of college athlete union wouldn't be amazing (especially if they're not employees or if the union covers all sports) but nowhere near this bad.

Our final State of Sport Management episode of the season is now live! creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/ma… This was a fun live recording from SMAANZ on their research panel. A scholarly "murderers row" of researchers describing their research, process, and advice to others.

I want to thank No Longer Credentialed for inviting me on to discuss my research. I've had a bunch of new followers, so it's important to mention I'm not the only one in this space. There are rock stars like Liz Taylor Brent Oja Dr. Minjung Kim (MK) Jeff Graham (UTK) Dr. Allison Smith & others doing great work

Has anyone allowed integrative AI into their classroom? I'm looking at allowing (even recommending?) its use in the classroom but would love to see how others are using or planning on how / when to use it. Especially looking for syllabus lang. Open to resources Comment or DM me!

Finally got a chance to dig into the SFA Title IX opinion from last night and this note on the balance of hardships preliminary injunction element... seems impactful. Since I'm fairly sure SFA won't be the only one to cut sports citing increased costs due the House settlement.

Now here’s an idea. Dr. Matt Huml says pressuring schools through staff surveys, like the NFLPA’s annual player report cards, is one way to expose toxic workplaces in sports. 🎧 Full interview on Apple, Spotify & YouTube youtube.com/shorts/CBxAABS…

About to submit a paper where we interviewed former employees. They provided awfully similar quotes as the below for their reason for “getting out”.

Athletic department wasn’t lying when it said get to your seats early. #Mizzou about to get the ball back for its second possession and the concourse is at a standstill.
