👏👏 Madison and I are humbled and thrilled to announce that I have been called by Calvary Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA to be their next senior pastor. _ We will miss our Vegas friends and family so much, but we are also so excited for what’s ahead!

I’m so thankful for the privilege to pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. This has probably been the most exhausting yet exhilarating last six weeks of my life. I love where I’m at, and I’m also excited for what’s ahead!

Thankful for the opportunity to be the speaker last week for my friend Mark Shideler for his student ministry’s summer camp, even though I had to leave a day early after catching Covid! 😷 Mark is going a great job leading these students.

Classes begin today for both daddy (beginning my 4th year of PhD work) and for Jefferson! (starting at a new preschool) 👏

We had 31 people attend our very first Sunday night deep discipleship class! 🎉🎉 Discussing Carl Trueman’s book “Strange New World” this fall.

Eloise decided to celebrate Reformation Day by dressing up as a 16th century Protestant German princess. _ Jefferson’s costume represents some sort of Pagan holiday that happens to fall on this same day. We are praying for him. #prayforJefferson #happyreformationday

On Sunday, we got to celebrate Aaron by faith pledging himself to Jesus as his Lord and Savor! 👏💧

This morning, we voted in two new pastors here at Calvary who will help us reach Gwinnett County for the kingdom! 🎉🎉 _ So excited for what’s ahead for us! 🥳👏👏

Enjoyed having my old college friend Jordan Kosinski at Calvary this morning to bring the word and share about their church plant in Sunbury, OH. Also had some other alumni join us this morning!

Humbled and honored to share that I have passed my oral comprehensive exam for my PhD in systematic theology and church history. So much more to learn but beyond excited to begin writing & sharing what I’m learning with others to advance the kingdom. On to dissertation!

Me: “Jefferson! Did you have fun at kid’s church this morning?” Him (my 4 yr old): “No, I didn’t.” Me: “Oh no! Why not?” Him: “Because I just don’t like how the Bible tells me so.” We’ve all been there kid. We’ve all been there. 😂
