Thank you Governor Katie Hobbs for vetoing today many water bills that this Legislature pushed through in its final days, including SB1172. Some of these concepts have merit and potentially reduce groundwater use, but that's not guaranteed under the terms of the bills passed.

While the Republican majority pretends these bills were solutions to Arizona's water crises, Christopher Mathis and I are ready to keep negotiating to find true consensus solutions to our rural and urban groundwater needs.
