It was great to meet some familiar faces at the User Meeting 2022 ANSTO Australian Synchrotron. We are excited to share our research findings while also learning about other people's innovative work.

The opportunity to meet with not one, but two Nobel Laureates is not something that comes around very often. Our own Prof Jodie Bradby having a chat with Professor Donna Strickland and Professor Brian Schmidt last week!

Congratulations to group member Shankar Dutt on receiving the Jak Kelly Award Royal Society of NSW award at the Royal Society of NSW's 2023 dinner. Fabulous to see Shankar's work on nanopore sensing for the detection of complex biomolecules receiving such well-deserved recognition.

Our latest paper in ACS Analytical Chemistry Journals shows how we created ultra-thin nanopore membranes with a thickness of just 3nm. By using these membranes, we achieved over 1.8 million events for DNA and protein sensing. Check out our paper to learn more! doi.org/10.1021/acs.an… PhysicsANU
