Zhiren In Cardiff, we keep active in concrete mechanics after Prof Karihaloo's legacy: dissipation processes for cracking across scales (topic of my PhD), other colleagues are working in non-conventional concrete mechanics such as self-healing rm4l.com RM4L

The first RM4L presentation is from Livia Engineering Dept on her work to tailor microcapsules for self healing. Unfortunately she couldn't make it to Milan.

After 5+ years RM4L ends this month. It was great to have a final drink with fellow directors, Tony, Abir and Diane, in London last week to celebrate a transformation in self-healing and self-sensing construction #materials and work well done. Cheers all.

All part of RILEM Association TC 287-CCS looking at cracking in concrete. It's amazing how much we still need to learn. And for my part how we can get cracks to heal themselves. rilem.net/groupe/287-ccs…

Just fab to get ALL the staff and postdocs (including those that had left Bath) from the Bath RM4L team together for the first and last time. Celebrating the end of what was an amazing project. #Research is #fun.
