Mandatory #battery storage is such a good thing for #China. #Lithium will benefit for sure. Unfortunately the supply scale here is currently out of reach for #Vanadium #VRFB Policy has really taken off early 2025. Wasn't enforced much at introduction ess-news.com/2025/06/26/chi…

The last time #China did this in 2016 did wonder to #Vanadium, and was my first time hearing and learning everything about #Niobium. They enforced it the "iron fist" way(no pun intended). Shutting old mills, fining non-compliant rebar producers, especially water-quenched rebar.

#China is always prepared to buy #mining assets overseas That's not to say everyone in China behaves the same way. You could quickly gauge their quality in a meeting, if you could get your foot into the door for one to happen with right people. ft.com/content/51c201… via @ft

Trade-off would be the battery safety. High temperature at 10C charging would quickly deteriorate battery life as well. But doesn't need a technological breakthrough to resolve the issue - better cooling solution can do. LFP has really come a long way & is here to stay.

#Vanadium Price in #China Flat for the past 3 weeks. Unfortunately the statistic from #steel production doesn't look too good. That's not to say #VRFB isn't taking off in #China though. Minimum 10% storage for renewable energy projects seem to have higher compliance rate too.

Unless this is a start of the domino that will affect all Qinghai region, I honestly don't understand the overreaction to a 5ktpa #Lithium supply cut. June-October is typically their prime production time so we shall see if more news follow. Perhaps the #China market knows

Here's more on what I found on #China Qinghai #Lithium event which may explain the reaction in China. The regulator that fined Zangge isn't just a normal regulator, which I'll call QSLA (Qinghai salt lakes admin). It had been set up in 2024, specifically to overlook

Chinese exports of #Antimony & #Germanium plunge even as rare earths rebound Lots of "maintenance" works happening for Antimony smelters so we might see the production plunge in July in #China reuters.com/world/china/ch…

#China did something that sent shockwave across #coal market today. Everyone has read similar news so I won't go into it. BUT This wouldn't be the first time China has done exactly the same thing - back in 2016-2017. The goal then was to: -retire all operations <300kt/a

2 acquisitions within a month by #China Zijin Mining - Raygorodok for US1.1b and Tongon for US$500m. I was able to see some linkage between $WA8 NED Dr Dianmin Chen and Zijin. I’m sure Zijin can spend some pocket money to make a more competitive bid on WA8?

If this isn't #coal and it's #lithium price , all coal stonks might've gone up 100% by now. Coking coal futures in #China Dalian up 50% in about 2 weeks.

Price recovery in #China #Vanadium Will be interesting to see if the 反内卷 "Anti-involution", or the anti- destructive competition movement will make its way to Vanadium. In 2017 lots of smaller operations were closed due to polluting practice and "redundant".

#CATL has also responded on investor relations page - confirmed operation has stopped at Jianxiawo #Lithium "In process of renewal of the mining license ASAP.. little impact on the company's overall operations". Link ir.p5w.net/c/300750.shtml Why not extended in first place?

#China #Vanadium price is recovering. CCP seem to have initiated a wave to remove overcapacity across different minerals, which makes me think it's just a matter of time before it makes its way to Vanadium.
