Norwell goes back to back after beating Falmouth 10-4. Close for most of the game, then Norwell ran away with it. Falmouth battled hard, great wins in the tournament. Congrats to both teams.

Starting to think about things with the MIAA highschool season coming up. SJP should be favorites for D1, their ‘24 class is absolutely loaded. I think Duxbury is going to be stronger than Reading this time around, Reading lost a lot. Norwell still strong but lost a bit of talent

Some ‘23 seniors will be missed but man is this a really solid roster. Expecting a huge season from Dux. Mazanec and Z. Fall’s definitely names to watch.

Good start for the boys at Westwood

Predictions: Nauset vs Mansfield Both teams had strong seasons last year. 2 programs who won playoff games but couldn’t get over the hump against elite competition. Nauset lost a ton of offense . I’ll still take them. Prediction: Nauset 15, Mansfield 11

Prediction: Marblehead vs Winchester Marblehead’s senior class that helped them reach the final 4 last year is gone. Winchester’s tough OT playoff loss has them itching to get back on the field. Although close, I’ll take Marblehead to figure it out in the end. Score: 8-6 MH

Mansfield takes Nauset down by a few. Great job by Mansfield, early but they should be proud of this win. Nauset may need a new identity, but we’ll wait to see if they can get their offense going again.

Winchester beats Marblehead 11-3. Although Winchester has had more success as a program I thought Marblehead may still be riding high after last year. Losing an all American on offense is really showing. Only scored 3 goals. Gotta bounce back.
