Very impactful work by Kat Southwell (nee Lee) showing the regional disparities in clinical trial access. We need to do better than this. We want patients across the UK to have access to trials. Also early career and experienced researchers should be encouraged to work all over the UK.

Asha one of our members has had to fund raise herself to access a drug which wasn't available as she had too many prior lines of treament. We live with inequalities that means that some patients don't get drugs and this is wrong. #MetastaticMay buff.ly/3LsgH41

METUPUK Great blog by Asha. Treatment line restrictions are so cruel. Alpelisib (Piqray) has also not been accepted by the SMC so currently patients in Scotland cannot receive it. There are too many disparities which impact on ordinary people.

METUPUK What a lot of work this is. Amazing effort Kat 👏. 💯agree that searchable / accurate database required. Data doesn't tell whole story (e.g. Brighton network with Kent, Surrey and Marsden to increase study availability) 'London' is multiple Trusts etc.

METUPUK When a person is so ill, the last thing they should have to do is fight for treatment. Treatment lines are inhumane and unjust.
