It was great to visit UMass Dartmouth's UMassD SMAST with the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees last week. Exciting to see their incredible work! Just this year, SMAST faculty received ~$5M from NOAA's Atlantic Sea Scallop RSA Program to support their critical work. #MarineScience #UMassD #NOAA

I'm so proud of the partnership between UMass Boston & UMass Amherst that allows kids of all intellectual & developmental abilities to participate in this amazing and inclusive program.

Earlier this week at the Mount Ida Campus of UMass Amherst, I visited the UMass Amherst Summer Design Academy, a pre-college program which allows high school students to explore #architecture, landscaping, and design. Very impressive students and projects!

They enjoyed a locally sourced lunch while discussing our partnerships. They also toured UML's #energy labs, showcasing cutting-edge energy #research.
