Matthew Shanks ‘The union flag will be back up every day at city hall’ ‘We will match down the Garvaghy Road again’ ‘We will never accept a Sinn Féin first minister’ ‘There will be no border down the Irish Sea’ Do you see how this works yet, Mattie?

Terrible decision for West Belfast. But we must not loose sight of the fact the main purpose of Casement is for Gaelic Games. As much as the Euro’s would have been incredible, they were a mere sideshow to what will be the long term benefit of rebuilding - the local GAA.

The only government investing anything in the Six Counties is the one in Dublin. The newest one in London just keeps hacking. Tells ya something no?

The i don't care if I miss out, so long as they do too approach. Quite something and simply reinforces beliefs that some are driven more by hate of the other than any so called desire to see this place succeed. Their way or no way.

What will actually work for the benefit of the people of the north. British Government seem intent on demonstrating it's not it.

A state-of-the-art stadium in a working-class nationalist area was a step too far for some here. They foolishly celebrate the Casement decision. Hosting Euro 2028 on GFA 30th annivy would have sent a powerful message that NI works. The opposite is true now belfasttelegraph.co.uk/opinion/column…
