I'm really enjoying #therestispolitics podcast with ALASTAIR CAMPBELL and Rory Stewart. Articulate, well-informed, insightful and strategic thinking - qualities clearly lacking in the Cabinet Office. It could be so different! Highly recommended podcast.

Well done John and all the others involved PNE Online. Amazing effort and no easy task. I'm sure the fans will appreciate all your hard work and do you proud. Looking forward to the game. #pnefc

Lowe's style of play (across the back and to the sides) mainly involves out weakest footballers. Not sure that's a particularly astute thing to do without mixing it up from time to time. #pnefc

Some stark statistics. #pnefc home wins 2020-2021 : 7 out of 23 2021-2022 : 9 out of 23 2022-2023 : 0 out of 6 (to date) We haven't even 'hit the back of the net' once this season - goal line technology granted us our only goal. It needs addressing asap to retain supporters.

Fantastic tie for #pnefc but really struggling with the "play for a draw" comments. I just think it's so typical of the Preston psyche and a reason behind our stagnation. We should be chomping at the bit to win this. Just imagine the scenes. Is that not why we go to games?

#pnefc last win against Tottenham. FA Cup in March 1966. PNE were in the second division whilst Spurs were in the top division. Is that an omen? youtu.be/js3jD8DtFfA

Ownership and strategy at #pnefc should not be today's talking point (although needs some clarity asap). The manager simply made a mess of it from outset. Diaby - hung out to dry, DJ - technically gifted but little impact for some time. Also thought Hughes struggled today.

Positives today at #pnefc (every cloud and all that). Think Liam Delap looks the real deal - very impressed. Brady also getting back on the pitch.

The quality of the opposition was not lost on me but in all my years of following football that's not how you cause a cup upset. At least try to wobble a superior team and give them some doubts. Since Grayson, the last 3 managers have drained Deepdale of belief. #pnefc

9 league goals at home in 15 matches is really poor and componded by the fact that 4 of those goals came in 3 defeats. That leaves very little to cheer about. My personal PNE painometer is at the max. Please cheer me up #pnefc 😭🙏

Putting the strategic direction of the club to one side, our manager needs to address the serious misgivings on the pitch. Formation, tactics, substitutions & application. Personally, I think Feb is a key month for him to prove his competence - last chance saloon for me. #pnefc

The good ship #pnefc is broken and adrift. Those inside are fractured, dispassionate and somewhat perplexed. It's hurting thousands of us who can only watch it drift aimlessly away. Time is now for leadership and definitive action from those at the helm (it's not just one or two)

I like Festus, if a likeable Tory candidate can’t win one of their safest seats then I wouldn’t fancy being one of their horrible ones #MidBeds #LabourGain

With 3 goals and 2 assists so far, you have to be bringing Mads on for that killer ball when 1-0 down. Understand why he sometimes frustrates but the stats suggest he's a better option than other subs. #pnefc

I'm surprised Will Still's name has not been mentioned as a potential #pnefc future manager. I assume his current club, Reims, is considered a much bigger club?

As a long suffering #pnefc fan, I'm realistic enough to accept playing Premier League teams regularly is a bit of a pipe dream. Therefore, irrespective of the current managerial debate, I will be livid if we turn up at Chelsea to have our tummies tickled.

Not Lowe's No 1 fan but feel some of the comments on here are ill judged. Considering the illness in the camp, minutes played by some players (Riis) and the bulk of the performance, I thought it was a pretty good effort. Our bench not strong enough today. #pnefc

Feel ref made the right decision re pen against #pnefc but surely the laws of the game have become skewed. Leeds not in control of ball, not likely to get a shot away or have anybody challenging for ball, yet area is cleared of players for a striker to have free hit at goal?

Not necessarily an advocate for managerial change but: dull football, attitude to cup games, demoralised talented players, untimely selection of substandard players and a disconnect with the fanbase makes me believe it should at least be considered. #pnefc

Our strength for years has been the unity of the squad - observers talked of "a tight-knit group". It compensated for our relative lack of resources. Browne, Bauer, Millar Mads & others suggests that's over. The club's stance is proving to be a false economy. #pnefc
