Arrived at the park this morning to find six brand new Egyptian goslings 😍

Cinema trip this afternoon to see Alex Garland’s Civil War ahead of its general release tomorrow. Excellent action flick, beautifully shot.

One of the best things to happen in the UK during my lifetime is the creation of parkrun UK. Had another lovely chat with its founder Paul Sinton-Hewitt while he was volunteering at Cranleigh parkrun yesterday and it was great to see the juniors out in force at Knowle Park this morning.

I’ve never been any good at languages (German GCSE grade E, and that was with help during the exam from the teacher). But I’ve got a 90 day streak going on Duolingo learning Swedish. Have picked up 200+ words so far. What should I do to become fluent?

There’s a pretty awesome stone circle on the hill behind my studio, created by some druids in the late 90s. Enjoyed a walk up there this afternoon.

Went to the park to lock up, found a teenage girl who had ended up in the lake (very intoxicated) showing signs of hypothermia. Along with another trustee we provided assistance and warm clothes, so her friends could get her home safely. Alcohol and open water don’t mix!
