Interesting this item on BBC news re importance of arts in schools. I am 100% certain I would never have got into Oxford or been able to use that as a stepping stone to a career in the City without @CGGSDrama and Off the Ground Theatre

@CGGSDrama Off the Ground Theatre I did GCSE drama and A Level Theatre Studies and I learnt an enormous amount of practical, communication and academic skills from both.

In fact, if it wasn’t for Dan Meigh I have absolutely no idea how my life would have turned out other than the fact that it would not have been anywhere near as good as it is.

As the news item notes, there is a reason the best private schools plough resources into the arts - they understand how valuable they are and what a positive impact they can have on kids’ lives.
