Day 7 progress for the #js13k game jam... 🤪 New weapon: Shotgun! 🤬 Another new weapon: Uzi! 🤯 Simple explosion and weapon effects. Size so far: 5.4kb!

Day 9 progress for the #js13k game jam... I finally figured out the physics for bouncing objects, so we have grenades and of course, the Holy Hand Grenade!

Day 11 progress on my Worms clone, for the #js13k game jam... With a decent range of weapons now implemented, I thought I'd add a bit of polish to make it look a bit nicer.

Day 14 of #js13k: The "Holy Hand Grenade" became the far more destructive "Unholy Black Cat"! Other changes include: 🤯 Players blow up when their HP reaches zero... 🤽 ...or when they fall (or get blown) into water! 🧨 Better graphics for some weapons. Current size: <8kb!

Worms13k, my entry for the #js13k game jam has a title screen, and it only cost 900 bytes!

Player animations are in, among with some basic sound effects. I have just 2kb left to work with, which might be enough for a couple more weapons. #js13k

Day 20 progress... player animations are in, along with nice chunky crosshairs and a custom mouse cursor to complete the feel #js13k

Day 21: I saved around 2kb by enabling better compression, which I'm using to add new weapons, starting with homing missiles... 🚀🎯 #js13k

I've resolved all of the performance issues in my #js13k entry, and now multiplayer is working like a dream!

That's it, after 30 days my #js13k entry is complete! "Worms 13k (and the Unholy Black Cat)" is a browser-based worms clone, in just 13kb. It's been a lot of fun to make.

I had such a great time participating in this. It's my first time and I really liked working with the 13kb limitation, although it did get a tad stressful towards the end when I was over the limit and running out of ideas for shrinking it down without cutting features!

The physical release of Frontier Force for SEGA Master System from 2Minds has now ended. There is the possibility of more in the future, if so I will announce it here. FF is also available digitally on itch (see reply). Thanks again for your support! #mastersystem #homebrew

After taking part in a game jam, I feel like I've suddenly got a lot more motivation to finish some unfinished projects!

My son is learning to make games with python at college for his A-levels. So guess what language I'm learning at the mo. If you have any pointers, I'm all ears.

I always assumed my daughter never really paid any attention to the music I put on in the car, but still I make sure not to play anything explicit, just in case. Well, it turns out she does pay attention, and now she's a fan of the Fontaines DC! 🤣

My wife made this cake for our daughter's 8th birthday, yet she has the cheek to say she doesn't think she's good enough to apply for The Great British Bake Off!
