Congratulations Binyam Mogessie ጥቁር ሰው✊🏿 🥳
Excited to share our last work together with Marta de Ruijter-Villani! We show that the fibrous corona, an outer-kinetochore meshwork, autonomously serves as a microtubule-organizing centre contributing to spindle assembly, and it's fundamental in acentrosomal cells like oocytes. (1/2)
I am honoured to be awarded an #ERCCoG Thank you European Research Council (ERC) and everyone that helped me on the way I guess ‘PREPARE PREPARE PREPARE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE’ does help!
Massive thanks to Fioranna Renda and Alexey Khodjakov for highlighting our recent work in Current Biology led by Jingchao & Ainhoa Larreategui in collaboration with Marta de Ruijter-Villani. Truly a great contextualisation of our results! Check it out here: cell.com/current-biolog…
3 years founded post-doctoral position to study the impact of cytoskeletal elements on gene expression in mouse oocytes. Interested in science at the interface between cell biology, computational biology and bio-physics?.. do not hesitate to contact me Marie-Hélène Verlhac, CIRB_CdF !!
Great work Masoud Zamani Esteki ! 🤩congratulations 👏👏
The bipartite centromere, what a journey! A cool discovery & a fun collaboration with Bill Earnshaw's lab & Tatsuo Fukagawa, led by Carlos & Kumiko! We found that centromeres organize into multiple domains, which independently attach microtubules. cell.com/cell/fulltext/…
What happens at the very first moment when sperm & egg meet? We discovered a conserved trimeric ‘key’ on vertebrate sperm that binds to divergent egg proteins. Amazing work jointly lead by Victoria Deneke & Andreas Blaha Andrea Pauli. cell.com/cell/fulltext/…
