Last night was a great competition in Marshalltown. The boys have automatic qualifiers from John Moellers in the 3200 and 1600, finishing 2nd in each. Preston Johnson finished 3rd in the 3200 and 4th in the 1600, and both should qualify.

In the 2nd session, Marshalltown's John Moellers finished 2nd in the 4A 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:00.77, good for 5th all-time in state meet history. Preston Johnson placed 10th in 9:15.26. MHS freshman Grace Christensen took 17th in the 100 prelims in a time of 12.82.
