Two days in Canberra of meetings on agriculture, agriculture trade policy, Australia and NZ’s place inside that and how we work together on many things. Thanks to all involved for setting up meetings and hosting.

Great catching up with Hamish Marr last week to discuss our shared approach to sustainable agriculture. As my NZ equivalent, we will work together to counter prescriptive policy and demonstrate agriculture's role to address climate change while ensuring food security.

It has been great to spend 2 days at the WTO adding the farmers voice to trade meetings. The voice of the farmer speaks to lived experience of trade policy negotiated here over time. Yesterday our delegation visited the seed research division Assam Agricultural University. We held an interactive discussion and in field demonstrations on some of the innovations that are happening in the production of quality seed in the north of India. We look forward to ongoing collaboration

It was a pleasure to join Ambassador Frizzelle and @NZinRome team to a very wholesome meeting with Confagricoltura and Vice President Sandro Gambuzza while in Rome. Italy is a valued trading partner for New Zealand and thank you for the mutual discussion.

While visiting Rome it was a pleasure to accompany Ambassador Frizzelle and Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs Giorgio Silli on a tour of a Zespri International orchard. A wonderful example of international partnerships at work. Thanks @NZinRome for organising.
