Very humbled and proud to have been awarded New Zealand Small Seed Grower of the Year award last night at Arable Awards of New Zealand. Great to bring the industry together. Thanks Foundation for Arable Research (NZ) Federated Farmers PGG Wrightson Seeds

Great catching up with Hamish Marr last week to discuss our shared approach to sustainable agriculture. As my NZ equivalent, we will work together to counter prescriptive policy and demonstrate agriculture's role to address climate change while ensuring food security.

It has been great to spend 2 days at the WTO adding the farmers voice to trade meetings. The voice of the farmer speaks to lived experience of trade policy negotiated here over time. Great to meet members of Cairns Group WTO and thanks to New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade and Clare Kelly

A great few days in Berlin with the NZ team here. Many meetings on trade and sustainability. What shines through is trust and equal ambition for outcome through a long established relationship. It was a real pleasure for me to be here and help. Craig Hawke New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade

Day 2 with grower Hamish Marr at #Methven followed by a joy ride up the #Rakaiagorge 🇳🇿

Thank you to Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India for a fruitful meeting with 🇳🇿 Special Agricultural Trade Envoy Hamish Marr and congratulations on your enormous achievements in such a short time. Cooperatives have a successful history in 🇳🇿 and 🇮🇳 and lay a great foundation for us to work together.

A great visit yesterday to DR YS Parmar UHF to meet with faculty and look at their ongoing trial and extension work in horticulture and particularly kiwifruit. Great discussions were had on cooperation and common interests. Great work in a beautiful place. Zespri International

A brilliant day today in Anand visiting with National Dairy Development Board and Amul.coop. Agriculture could learn a lot from a tour here and we look forward to further work together. Thank you for your generosity. NZ in India

A fantastic visit to Satyender Yadav to discuss and look at their centre of excellence for bee keeping. An essential service that is critical to food production and food security generally. A great facility doing great work in rural India. NZ in India

Yesterday our delegation visited the seed research division Assam Agricultural University. We held an interactive discussion and in field demonstrations on some of the innovations that are happening in the production of quality seed in the north of India. We look forward to ongoing collaboration

Just home from a week in China. A fruitful visit to the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences to see its cutting-edge research and innovations that are designed to make farming more climate resistant and less labour intensive. #NZinShanghai NZinShanghai 🇳🇿 New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade Ministry for Primary Industries

3 very good days with NZinColombia on international trade. Always fascinating to listen, see and understand how other countries operate. Was a very good mix of meetings, presentations on NZ agriculture, a farm visit and television interview. Thanks to all #MFATNZ #MPINZ

It was a pleasure to join Ambassador Frizzelle and @NZinRome team to a very wholesome meeting with Confagricoltura and Vice President Sandro Gambuzza while in Rome. Italy is a valued trading partner for New Zealand and thank you for the mutual discussion.

While visiting Rome it was a pleasure to accompany Ambassador Frizzelle and Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs Giorgio Silli on a tour of a Zespri International orchard. A wonderful example of international partnerships at work. Thanks @NZinRome for organising.
