Travelling 1111km home by train today from Avignon to Bedford. Just 4h12m for the longest segment from Avignon to Lille… 887 spaces on the train and it’s well-used. This is what happens when you invest in transport infrastructure… oh, and 4G/5G seems to be working too…

4G/5G right the way across France, indeed through most of my two weeks travelling around Europe. Pop out of the Channel Tunnel, speeding through Kent and… Edge. Thanks Vodafone, though the other networks seem as bad. Does anyone have a technical reason for UK’s poor coverage?
