WHAT'S ON: Calling all #science lovers to experience 'The Art and Science of Myrtle Rust' exhibition hosted by Western Sydney University from 2-12 Feb at the PlantBank to help bring more awareness around the devastating plant disease.🍂 ➡️ bit.ly/3jkEXuP #MyrtleRust

It was super exciting last night to see the indigenous art created by local artists to increase awareness of the myrtle rust disease of Australian plants. Also great music to kick off the event. Check it out Myrtle-rust.com Thanks mark temple @BrettSumm for organising!

The "Rust Never Sleeps" quintet performed last night to raise awareness about Myrtle Rust at Plant Bank Mt. Annan. The backing track was made by sonification of the Myrtle Rust DNA sequence. Check it out Myrtle-rust.com The Australian Botanic Garden

As I setup the sonification installations of endangered native plants and Myrtle Rust DNA at Plant Bank, I saw this article… Sounds of Science… welcome to my world! Thanks Sumeet Kulkarni 🐋 Los Angeles Times for the wrap, it’s nice to be included in such fine company… latimes.com/science/story/…

Beautiful generative music made from a critically endangered Australian native plant. This music is being made from the poor Scrub Terpentine (Rhodamnia rubescens), a species that is threatened by the Myrtle Rust fungus. The Australian Botanic Garden #generative #electronicmusic #modular

Fabulous #scienceweek is almost here. Come join me Powerhouse (Sydney) or at Meat Market (Melbourne) for an evening of #sonification, music, and science talks! @InspiringNsw Please share...

Sonification + Musicians = Science Rock? Super cool to be back in the studio, finishing off the new record and preparing for the shows, Science Rock vs. Indie Rock? #meatmarketmelb Powerhouse @InspiringNsw NationalScienceWeek #scienceweek

National Science Week: The Music of Genes Live at Meat Market, North Melbourne Tuesday 15th Aug ABC Melbourne, 3rrrfm, @pbsfm, NationalScienceWeek Event details: bit.ly/3seb5Ek

Former musician, School of Science Dr Mark Temple has used computer code to make audio from DNA sequences. Celebrate #ScienceWeek by listening to a full ensemble perform the data as music on Thursday 17 August at Powerhouse Ultimo. Learn more here - tinyurl.com/3n5fpc5m 🥁🧬
