Ayer’s script for Suicide Squad leaked earlier this week and his edgy description of the Joker early in the script received a lot of mockery from fans. I decided to read it.

I think this is quite possibly one of the worst Steph takes I’ve ever seen. How do you get her entire history wrong?

One detail I like about the classic Spoiler suit is that the colors it uses - purple and blue - create the strongest contrast with yellow and orange, which are Cluemaster’s colors. It symbolizes how Steph is a strong contrast to her father and helps set her apart from him.

The fact that the DCU is pulling inspiration from Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams’s Batman run has me excited, since in my opinion, O’Neil is the definitive Batman writer. This might end up being my favorite cinematic Batman.

Steph’s character has gone downhill ever since DC decided to have her “share” the Batgirl mantle with Cass. They’ve never treated her as an equal Batgirl to Barbara and Cass ever since the “Batgirls” status quo began and she’ll never recover until they make her Spoiler again.
