Yesterday, August 29th, 2025, we had an intense but pleasant chase of this long-lived supercell across the Veneto region, north of Italy. Once we blasted through the RFD, nature paid us with this majestic view!

This is the final activity for the stormy event on September 2nd, 2025. A decaying cluster of storms over northern Istra, Slovenia, produced a combo of CG lightning and an anvil crawler. There were still explosive updrafts on the right, illuminated by the flashes.

Last night, a powerful positive lightning bolt with an amplitude of 103kA struck near the village of Trebicciano, Italy. Significant damage to the ground was found, with visible lightning channels spread away from the hit point. Lightning struck at 14th Sept 2025, 3:15am.

An absolute monster supercell with frequent lightning grazed across the Friuli region, Italy, into the Gulf of Trieste today, Sept 16th, 2025. A wet microburst blasted Monfacone and Duino with lots of hail and intense downpours.
