Yes! NIL gives student athletes the same opportunities as traditional students.

And hey look at that: a league that prioritizes basketball, the BIG EAST MBB, has two teams in the Elite Eight.

Larranaga gets it. The players that help create the enormous amounts of revenue (around $1B/year just for the TV rights to the 🏀 tournament) that pay for many other salaries deserve a lot more of that revenue. #NIL is the way to make that happen under the current rules.

I don’t have a lot of time for people who are complaining that Miami took advantage of NIL to build a Final Four roster. Who loses here? Do we want new programs trying to win, or the same blue bloods over and over?

The higher you climb in leadership, the greater the responsibility, the greater the burden, and the greater the demands. You must have thick skin and a big heart. It is not for the weak. If you genuinely knew the weight of leadership, you would have more grace for leaders.

#NIL opportunities are a factor in the recruitment of college athletes. Everyone else in college athletics considers financial factors when making decisions. So there’s nothing wrong with the athletes (who play a huge part in creating the revenue) doing the same.
