I asked Grok: "In some Native American cultures, the Northern Harrier is seen as a symbol of grace, agility, and the balance of life due to its hunting prowess and aerial displays." This one was just soaring low over a field looking for something to eat. #birds #birdphotography

Whoosh! Off it goes! This Western Bluebird wasn't putting up with any photo-taking nonsense for very long! Such beautiful birds! #birds #birdphotography

This Bushtit was keeping a close eye on me as I pointed my lens at it. It was pretty close by, and I was shocked it didn't just take off (like they normally do)! #birds #birdphotography

As Groucho Marx sang: Hello, I must be going I cannot stay, I came to say, "I must be going" A Yellow-rumped Warbler never seems to sit for too long before deciding it needs to be somewhere else. #birds #birdphotography

Sometimes, the bird moves faster than the autofocus and shutter speed. Like with this White-crowned Sparrow... #birds #birdphotography

This Snowy Egret was pretty close to me while I was at the Bridgeway Island Pond. @Grok says .. In some Southern folklore, the snowy egret is sometimes woven into stories about the bayous, where they're seen as guardians of the wetlands, or as omens of good weather or rich

Meanwhile, in The Life and Times of the Black Phoebe, this one is telling the story of the time it was just perched, hanging out, and waiting for some bugs to come along. #birds #birdphotography

In Hawaii, the Black-necked Stilt, known locally as "Aeʻo," has a cultural significance. The name "Aeʻo" means "one standing tall," which is a nod to its long-legged stature. The survival and behavior of the Aeʻo could be woven into tales about the balance of nature, where these

I asked the branch to move out the way so that I could get a photo of this Yellow-rumped Warbler. It ignored me so this was what I ended up with! #birds #birdphotography

A Belted Kingfisher landed close to me on a bridge at the Clark County Wetlands Park in Henderson, NV. Usually, these little ones are far far away from me, so it was nice to be within chatting distance for a change! #birds #birdphotography

Every once in a while, I see a Yellow-rumped Warbler who throws caution to the wind and will pose on a branch for a few photos. #birds #birdphotography

In many cultures, sparrows, including the White-crowned, symbolize joy, community, and adaptability. They're seen as symbols of good fortune, happiness, and prosperity. The next time you see a White-crowned Sparrow, maybe you should try your luck at the casino! #birds

The first time I saw a Northern Harrier, I thought it was an owl. A birder friend politely corrected me. Today, I read on All About Birds that "Northern Harriers are the most owl-like of hawks." I don't feel as stupid, now. LOL. #birds #birdphotography
