Countless visits required to Dove Central, keeping birders pre-occupied (and boatmen happy) for three days before the Mourning Dove was finally pinned down to a chicken run on private property. Subsequent visitors had no idea what the fuss was all about! #Scilly2025

Great to witness fantastic numbers of Yellow-browed Warblers this Autumn, these delightful warblers often to be found in sticky-leaved sycamores searching for aphids and other insects #Scilly2025

Double-figure counts of Black Redstarts not unusual many days including some cracking males, plus a good smattering of Yellow Wagtails, some almost monochrome in coloration. Wheatears always a pleasing distraction and, of course, the mighty Scilly Wren #Scilly2025
