I apologize for not making it clearer in my last post that I was specifically considering the morality of DRAINING the artifacts as opposed to simply USING them. I hope the explanation below can clarify my intent!

After deliberating on the situation, I have decided that I do not wish to stop posting. Instead, I will implement the following NEW RULES that should address most issues with the blog and drastically reduce any stress it has been causing me. Thank you very much for your support.

Update on the Wario bone situation: it appears I fell victim to an incredible coincidence. Many characters in SSB4 have bones that are labeled as "Swing HIT", with the obvious abbreviation. Wario's bone merely happened to be in his posterior area, creating inadvertent humor!

In the Yoshi's Island franchise, it appears to be a running gag to disrespect Dark Blue Yoshi. He is consistently singled out to be the Yoshi playable in the fewest number of levels in all three main games in the series.

Follow-up to the Mario dance post: many readers have requested seeing other characters dance in the same manner. The original discoverer, MeltyPlayer, has prepared a video concatenating the animations for the other racers! x.com/MeltyPlayer/st…

The object with perhaps the most dissonance between its name and actual nature in the Mario franchise is the Luigi Block from New Super Mario Bros. U, which looks like Mario and makes characters act like Mario when hit.

This month's experimental post: We Need To Talk About Parallel Universes I explore the hypothetical alternate universe scenario where instead of focusing on Mario games, my life would have gone differently and I made a similar blog about other franchises I like instead.

Development files reveal that Super Mario Kart used to contain "Grass That Doesn't Slow You Down", which defeats the entire purpose of offroad grass in a racing game. The developers clearly had a low opinion of it, calling it "unnessesaly" [sic] in the code before removing it.

In Super Mario 64 DS, Peach only appears in cutscenes. Placing her in a level to interact with her during gameplay reveals that she says Bowser's final boss speech when talked to.

In StreetPass Mii Plaza, "hatless" is implemented as "having a Mario hat, but not wearing it". For each Mii that is not wearing a hat, the game loads a Mario hat model and then simply does not put it on the Mii.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 contained a "dialogue test zone" during development. The area has been removed, but its dialogue still survives. It would have contained bizarre interactions such as a Toad saying "crab crab mochi crab crab crab" and another Toad saying simply "3".

Super Paper Mario contains 33 distinct entities all named "Invalid Goomba". While they are easy to dismiss as duplicates, there is evidence to suggest that during development, there might have been a separate purpose and story behind each individual Invalid Goomba.
