To clear up what others have asserted: Juan Soto does not fly separately from his New York Mets teammates on a private jet. He flies on the team plane. There is no private-jet provision in his contract for him or his family.

Must be a quiet day for NY sports if beat writers are reporting concern from Mets regarding Soto on May 19 of season 1 as a Met. There are 2,383 more games of Soto on the Mets and his “no-hustle slump” has resulted in a 0.822 OPS. I think it’s going to turn out alright!

I’m with you, Joe. He needed to have run that play out, no doubt. It was so predictable that NY media would blow that one singular play out of proportion though…he’s been a great player and hasn’t hit his stride yet. That’s the only real “no-hustle” action there’s been this year

Juan Soto definitely wanted to be and chose to be a Yankee. Look no further than when *he* accepted a $765 million dollar contract from the Mets. Why is this a discussion still months after his signing? It’s a nothing-burger that doesn’t even make sense.

What alarm needs to be sounded for the Mets? They are tied for first place in the National League and their 2 highest paid players are due for positive regression. They are going to be OK, deep breaths everyone. It’s still May.

Huge news: 2025 College Football Playoff changes to straight seeding. Top 4 seeds get 1st-round byes regardless if it won a conference title, sources said. Conference champs still get auto-bids but are seeded based on ranking. This will be final year of 12-team playoff w/2026 playoff
