As a fellow nerd, learning all about the anatomy and morphology of Spiny Dogfish first hand was very cool! (All animals donated to our lab were unintentionally killed in fisheries) #seaside #sharks

On Tues wrapped up our SEASIDE Dalhousie shark and ray course. Had a fantastic time with these students and my team Emily Sklar 🦀 & Scarlett Taylor 🦈 I was impressed by their hard work and enthusiasm in the classroom, lab, and field. Watch out for this group! #SeasideSharkScience

a blue whale’s main food source, krill, feeds off of an organism called phytoplankton. phytoplankton feeds mostly off of the nutrients found in whale poop. so basically whales eat their own poop. this has been your world krill day whalefact. thank you.
