#GillisIC Shortly before 4PM Lifeguards responded to a report of a 25’ whale inside of the surfline just south of Marina Del Rey at Dockweiler beach. Marine Animal Rescue LAPD HQ and LACoLifeguards are on scene.

*Update* #GillisIC - At the direction of NOAA Fisheries, Marine Animal Rescue and LACoLifeguards will leave the whale in place for a tidal cycle in hopes that it will be able to return to deeper water. Any attempt to tow the animal would most likely result in critical injury.
