🧵Today is publication day for Tiny Dogs: Bea’s Secret Friends - my first ever book ❤️

It has been so special creating this series for @puffinbooksuk and I really hope young readers enjoy them. The tiny dogs are wagging their tails and can’t wait to meet you in bookshops..

This is very close to my heart and a a concern of every bookseller, librarian and teacher I’ve spoken to. How can we attract more boys to reading? I don’t have all the answers of course, but these thoughts might help.

This morning I decided to a very quick count of the students who used the #library from when I opened (7:15 am) to 8 am. Well over 200, which is a reminder of the importance of #school #libraries & how many kids rely on them on a daily basis.
