Off the vets this morning with a poorly pooch, wish me luck 🙏😥 this week has not been kind to me for sure.

Vets have phoned, it’s his kidneys so we can monitor him at home with a bland diet and then onto renal food for dogs. It’s 1-4 and he is 3 but hey he is coming home ❤️ and they didn’t mention euthanising, he is 13 this year🙏❤️ 3 years ago supervising his neighbours ❤️

Feel helpless, pooch is just sleeping, had all the meds that he needed from the vets, and now resting in his bed, oh how I wish to be woken up by him at 3am, I would never complain again ❤️ give your dogs an extra cuddle.

Barney has just eaten some chicken and rice and lots of water 🙏❤️🙏

Gosh it’s tiring looking after a poorly pooch ❤️

Anyway the beautiful Barney doesn’t want me to be sad, so happy Sunday everyone ❤️

Feeling a little sad, I am over the moon that I still have Barney, but he was a right greedy Labrador and now he will hardly eat, due to his deteriorating kidneys 🥹 I will keep trying to coax him to eat ❤️🙏❤️#barneyyoucandoit 🙏

Well Barney has had a bowl of chicken and rice and finished it, had lots of fresh water and has followed me around the kitchen ❤️ happy Monday indeed ❤️🙏❤️🤞❤️

Feels like we may have turned a corner with Barney, more alert, eaten more today even though he was sick at 1.30am, small steps are still good steps, and I have good bosses who let me take two half days yesterday and today to look after him ❤️ my eye still looks awful though 😂

Nearly Friday ❤️Barney the Labrador is getting better every day, still slightly lethargic but hey he is jumping up and woofing and eating ❤️ and last but not least my red eye is turning to slight red and yellow, and more white can be seen❤️ thank you for keeping me sane.
