Very simply put waiting is not devoid of risk . We focus on the risk of our actions but rarely balance that with the risk of doing nothing . Waiting is a period of doing nothing !

Face masks again. You will still be asked to wear one in a GP practice (and any healthcare setting). By definition there are people there that we need to protect. Please do not be surprised, annoyed or angry that this is the case, particularly with our staff who are just helping.

John and Marc are part of our marvellous Make Ready team who officially joined #TeamLAS today. The team works 24/7 to keep our ambulances fully stocked, fuelled and clean. We couldn't care for our patients without these hardworking heroes behind the scenes. 💚💚💚

Covid infections down again to one in 50, says ONS. I think I’m missing something . If we stop testing surely it will go down . bbc.co.uk/news/health-61…

Getting there with the sign on process on our digital wallboards. Staff can tap their ID, which will sign them in and pull information from the rostering platform, check vehicle availability and how busy the hospitals/OOH are, so staff have a quick snapshot at shift start.

Well done you have made a difference . The power of conversation , shared care and decision making will lead to better outcomes for patient . The default to hospital must stop they are not safe for people, increased deconditioning physical and cognitive infection risks etc
