INBOX: J Street now calling for an end to the war on Gaza. The million dollar question, of course, is what took them so long to get here.

underlying this statement and those like it is the contention that, after 100+ days, the war clearly has not saved the hostages or ensured security for Israelis and has brought horror to Gaza. But on what grounds did any of these groups ever think it would be different?
