This week our Ph.D. candidate Maria Ermida attended the United Nations Ocean Conference as Portugal’s Youth Representative for Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) 🇵🇹🌊 There she received the Relay4Nature batton from Peter Thomson, passing it to Jason Momoa, António Guterres and Presidência da República Portuguesa

She also witnessed the power of collective action in decision-making processes and had the chance to discuss her legal perspective on deep sea conservation in a panel with Sylvia A. Earle, @DivaAmon, Daniel Cáceres Bartra and @KajaFjaertoft
